Cats Exclusive

Millions of cats & kittens are euthanized each year and our goal is to end the use of euthanization for adoptable or treatable cats in Broward County. Our no-kill cat adoption center has found homes for over 4,000 cats and kittems since 1998. In addition, we have built and opened a spay and neuter clinic in September 2007. The clinic provides many services such as spay/neuter, microchipping, and vaccines for all cat owners.

Humane Society of
Broward County
Established in 1995, S.P.O.T. reaches out to the community in a variety of ways to offer free or generously reduced pet sterilization to pet owners living on fixed incomes. We reach our target audience through schools in low-income neighborhoods, county-sponsored vaccination clinics, and through word of mouth. Our partners in this endeavor are Animal Care and Regulation, Broward County Parks and Recreation, and the Humane Society of Broward County, where S.P.O.T. surgeries are performed. Contact (954) 463-7729 to schedule an appointment.

The S.P.O.T. Program offers $10 sterilization (spaying/neutering/fixing) of cats and dogs for Broward County pet owners who earn low-to-moderate incomes. Eligibility is based on the number of people in the household and yearly income compared to the Broward County median income. For example, a household of four with a yearly income of $60,200 would qualify for the program. For more information call the S.P.O.T. Program Coordinator at 954-359-2231
DPC Veterinary Hospital DPC Veterinary Hospital in Davie, FL charges $35 for a spay or neuter plus $10 for a rabies shot. Other services are available. No appointment is necessary, and ferals must be transported inside a trap. The advantage of using DPC is that they can often accommodate up to 3-4 cats from one person in the same day. Tip: it is less crowded during the week (as opposed to the weekends); therefore, you have a better chance of getting them all done in the same day. This clinic will board overnight ($10) if the cat must wait another day to be sterilized. The clinic is open 7 days a week! For further information, call 954-989-9879.
