November 12, 2007 - The Dog Whisperer

Yesterday was the day I met Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer. He conducted a seminar in Miami and it was, to say the least, very empowering.

Yes, I was star-struck by this man who presents himself as, and is the “Pack Leader”. I have been a huge fan of his over the past 3 seasons of his show on the National Geographic channel. He spoke about relationships with our pets and how we really don’t give them what they need. We give them what we need to fulfill ourselves. He gave us all the understanding on dog psychology and what we can do to full fill the needs of our pets to make them balanced.

After the seminar we waited patiently to meet with Cesar and get our photo taken and get autographs. It was so exciting to meet him face to face and shake his hand. I babbled about my rescue for a few minutes (don’t really remember what I said) and I do remember Cesar thanking me for giving Pit Bulls a second chance. I recall saying NO, thank you for giving people the tools to be pack leaders.
