Help Us Save the Helpless

Our mission

Stray Aid & Rescue, Inc. is a Florida Non-Profit, no-kill, all volunteer, rescue organization, dedicated to help spay/neuter dogs and cats here in South Florida . We want to prevent pet over-population and the killing of homeless pets that end up in our County shelters. We will help educate the community about the benefits of spaying/neutering. We will give the community access to low or no cost spay/neuter surgeries.

We give the community 10 years of rescue experience here in South Florida . We feel we can provide valuable information to our community so they can make the best choice when faced with making decisions on their pet or a pet they have found.

We will work with the caretakers of feral cat colonies. We will help spay/neuter, vaccinate and ear notch these cats in order to keep these colonies at a manageable level. We will rescue cats and kittens from a life on the streets, or from our County Shelter, provide them with proper care, medical attention, as well as permanent, loving homes.

We will also rescue, rehabilitate and re-home special needs dogs and puppies. We are rescuing dogs and puppies from our local County Shelters that have been abandoned by their owners. Most have not had proper care or medical attention and have been subject to cruelty or neglect. We will place them in loving homes.

We are also committed to help make the lives of the pets at Broward County Animal Care & Regulations shelters more comfortable. We will provide food, flea/tick/worm medications, Kuranda beds, towels, toys, shampoo, treats or whatever else is deemed necessary to help their stay at these shelters more humane and comfortable. We are working with the staff and volunteers to find out what they need on a regular basis.

Helping our community help the strays

Stray Aid & Rescue, Inc. was formed to educate and/or assist people who want to help the abandoned cats and kittens in our community. There are people who want to care for these cats, but need help and/or advice to trap/capture the cats in order to get them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, etc. There are low or NO COST programs available for these surgeries. If you are feeding a stray/abandoned cat that has not been spayed or neutered, DON'T WAIT. These un-neutered cats will contribute to the overwhelming numbers of cats/kittens that are living on the streets. We have Hav-a-heart traps available for you to borrow.
